2nd Annual Ball & Chain Music Festival

Ball & Chain, the notable and world famous live music venue celebrated their 81st Anniversary with a free 3 day music festival open to the public. The historical Little Havana landmark described as a retro Cuban speakeasy on Calle Ocho entertained thousands this past Labor Day weekend as people were lined up on the street waiting to get in to see the several Grammy and Latin Grammy Award nominated artists perform live on the Pineapple Stage.
This is the second annual multiple-day musical driven event that celebrated the venue’s birthday since the reopening in September 2014 under new ownership by Ben Bush, Zack Bush and Bill Fuller. The live performances began on Friday, September 2nd at noon continuing to rock Calle Ocho until the closing act at 3AM on Sunday and featured over 100 musicians and DJs combined. Featured performers included PALO!, Spam Allstars, Magic City Hippies, Electric Piquete, Tiempo Libre, The Politix, Lemon City Trio, Vlade Divak, Leslie Cartaya, BarrioActivo, Calle Sol, Lanzallamas, SonLokos, Pepe Montes & Conjunto, Elastic Bond, Nick Tannura Quartet, ArtOfficial, Tony Succar featuring Mixtura, Aaron Lebos, Gene Paul, Lucy Grau, DJ Le Spam (of Spam Allstars), DJ Danny Stern, DJ Dennis LaClave and DJ Kenyi.
Guests sipped on specialty cocktails courtesy of Zignum Mezcal such as the PiƱa Basil Margarita and beers were provided by Modelo, Corona and Amstel.
