No need to wait until December’s Art Basel for a dose of culture. Art Wynwood is back for its sixth edition this Presidents Day weekend. The art fair will feature iconic works from 20th and 21st century artists with projects and special installations from 60 international exhibitors. This year, Shepard Fairey is receiving the Art Wynwood Tony Goldman Lifetime Achievement Award, so don’t miss his talk with artnet’s Sarah Cascone on Feb. 17 at 2PM. Also: Wynwood Radio will be broadcasting live from the fair, bringing interviews with artists, exhibitors and fair directors, and streaming the panel discussions for listeners to enjoy. Few musicals have delighted audiences in the past few years as much as Beautiful, which chronicles the life and career of pop rock legend Carole King, a simple girl from Brooklyn with plenty of talent and even more chutzpah. Attention sea lovers: The Miami International Boat Show is back with more yachts, superyachts and other marine-related vessels than ever before. This 76th edition of the event is once again taking over Miami Marine Stadium Park & Basin with 1,300 new boats and elevated VIP food and beverage programs. The show is also offering potential buyers the chance to actually test drive the boats in Miami’s open waters before they make a large purchase.
