BESPOKE BLOOMS
Florals? For spring? With all due apologies to Miranda Priestly... yes! But the blooms at this month’s Fleurs de Villes are anything but pedestrian. The sartorial creations will be created by Miami’s top floral designers and displayed on 15 mannequins in what can best be described as an exhibit and trunk show in one. Ancillary flower installations will be spread throughout BHS, and workshops, virtual tours and a flower market will all be part of the experience—a rather fragrant welcome to spring if you will. Also part of this showcase is the Rosé exhibition, a showcase of the woody perennial everyone seems to love that will debut in Miami (in support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation) and then head off to New York, London, Cape Town, Montreal, Sydney and other cities. THE MUST-HAVE
It’s the style question that rears its head every spring: What will the “it” bag of the season be? This year, at least in Miami, the answer is easy. The Deep Vivier from Roger Vivier is bound to be on the shoulders of in-the-know fashionistas everywhere. Exclusive to the label’s Bal Harbour Shops’ boutique, the tote was conceived by brand Creative Director Gherardo Felloni when he was in quarantine last spring at his lighthouse on Giglio Island off the coast of Tuscany. While there, Felloni discovered a love for gardening and went on to plant more than 2,000 trees and plants on his property. The idea for the bag came to him when he touched the fabric of his gardening apron, so the Deep Vivier’s coated canvas is similar to that durable fabric that Felloni wore day in and day out. Better yet: Each bag features handpainted flowers, making each one of a kind. An A-list accessory with a story to go with it—now that’s fashion finesse. 9700 Collins Ave., Bal Harbour, 305.868.4344, rogervivier.com

IT TAKES TWO
Spring has barely sprung, but local designers Silvia and Sofia Tcherassi have already launched their pre-fall 2021 collection. The mother and daughter titled the line Once Upon a Time, and the offerings clearly exhibit their penchant for storytelling. Marked by geometric prints, signature stripes and wave shapes in everything from trimmings to silhouettes, the garments are as edgy and sophisticated as ever. Flowers embellish blouses, dresses and tops made from earthy cotton and delicate taffeta in a color palette from army green to burnt orange. “It was important that every piece told its own story,” says Silvia, “just like the women who wear it.” 207 San Lorenzo Ave., Coral Gables, 305.444.0084, silviatcherassi.com
