4 Vegan and Vegetarian Favorites

The feast is on! From dazzling debuts to dishes we can't get enough of, here are 50 reasons why Miami's dining scene is hotter than ever.
A bartender whips up a cocktail at Planta South Beach.

Planta South Beach
Living meat-free involves more than salads and smoothies, so these types of eaters count on Planta to satiate cravings. Nightlife guru David Grutman is behind this Miami Beach outpost (the brand started in Toronto) where guests can get everything from “chicken"-fried mushrooms to the hearty Planta burger with zesty Tajin fries. Executive chef David Lee even created a massive sushi plate that matches the texture of real sushi with watermelon, carrots, hearts of palm and the like. Brunch means banana pancakes, bottomless cold-pressed margaritas and no sacrifices. 850 Commerce St., Miami Beach, 305.397.8513

Malibu Farm
Although Malibu Farm is by no means all-vegan, or strictly vegetarian for that matter, the abundance of plant-based dishes on its menu has made it a favorite of eaters who stay away from meat. Before guests even taste the fresh, local and organic cuisine the brand has been dishing out in Cali since 2013, including the much-ballyhooed cauliflower- and zucchini-crust pizzas from a brick oven, they get their fill of delicious, uninterrupted Atlantic Ocean views with frozen rosé slushes in hand.
