5 New Shops to Visit Now!

BY Michael Muzquiz | August 3, 2018 | Feature Features

Check out what's on the shelves at these five new stores.
Dolce & Gabbana, Design District

Mediterranean Moxie
In the making for many years, Mrs. Mandolin is a love letter to Greece, Turkey and other areas of the Mediterranean. The inventory here includes hand-loomed pillows, jewelry, ceramics, and vintage home accessories, as well as garments, bags, footwear and hats from brands on owner Anastasia Koutsioukis’ discerning radar. 4218 NE Second Ave., Miami, 786.420.5110

Bauble Beat
It’s all about exotic jewelry at the new John Hardy shop in Aventura Mall. This store pays tribute to the brand’s Balinese roots with a teak tree sculpture and a custom scent with notes of tuberose, sandalwood and ocean breezes. The inventory is outstanding with standouts that include the Macan Mandu, a feline ring with black mother-of-pearl inlay, pavĂ© brown diamonds and Paraiba tourmalines. 19501 Biscayne Blvd., Aventura, 305.792.6114

Mamma Mia!
Theatrical glamour is alive and well at the new Dolce & Gabbana boutique in the Design District. Curiosity Studio designed this new two-level store to make the most of the brand’s ready-to-wear, accessories, footwear and jewelry for both men and women. 148 NE 41st St., Miami, 305.573.9734

Jet-Set Appeal
Planning a summer getaway? The new Tumi store at the Shops at Merrick Park carries all the essentials and then some. Look out for offerings from the Mezzanine collection, which are edgier with unstructured shapes and media-friendly compartments. Also worth checking out: the popular Latitude collection, Tumi’s lightest bags to date. 358 San Lorenzo Ave., Coral Gables, 305.925.9971

Accessories Appeal
There are many things to love at the new Balenciaga store in the Design District. The shop is the first in the region to be fully designed by Balenciaga Creative Director Demma Gvasalia. And, while the inventory includes all sorts of ready-to-wear standouts, we’re most smitten by the bag selection, which includes hot sellers like the Ville bowling bag in royal blue calfskin. 153 NE 40th St., Miami, 305.908.4242
