5 Stores For Holiday Shopping Success!

BY Germaine Benson | December 8, 2016 | Feature Features

New stores have been popping up all over town in the last few weeks and your holiday shopping outings are the best time to discover them. Here are five that deserve your attention—and a visit.
Footwear favorite Aquazzura is now a permanent fixture at Bal Harbour Shops.

1. Scent Stealer
Italian perfumer Acqua di Parma has opened its first American brick-and-mortar at Brickell City Centre (the city’s newest mall and a place that merits a visit of its own). Acqua’s inventory has just about everyone on your list covered with top-of-the-line shaving products for him, alluring fragrances for her and hand-blended scented candles for all. HOT HOLIDAY PICK The Pure Badger shaving brush with stand ($395) makes the ritual of shaving a pampering pleasure. 701 S. Miami Ave., Miami, 786.292.2887

2. Style Source
Fashionistas couldn’t contain themselves when the whimsical Alice + Olivia opened a temporary space in the Miami Design District as it awaits the completion of its shop in the neighborhood. The gallery-like boutique carries the brand’s latest collections of women’s clothing and accessories, including the BASQUIAT x A+O collab. HOT HOLIDAY PICK For the woman in your life who loves comfy and quirky, the Zita Eye Heart You turtleneck pullover ($295) is a sure winner. 106 NE 40th St., Miami, 305.375.6056

3. Sole Search
Once a pop-up and now a permanent Bal Harbour Shops tenant, Aquazzura has upped the ante when it comes to footwear. Blessed by celebrity appeal, the brand is well-known for its sexy stilettos and seductive sandals. A box with Aquazzura’s pineapple motif under the tree will make any recipient’s heart beat faster. HOT HOLIDAY PICK The over-the-knee, suede London boots ($1,200) may be best suited for winter-centric cities, but just try and stop any Miami glamazon from wearing them. 9700 Collins Ave., Bal Harbour, 305.330.6860

4. Italian Interests
Three is a winning number for Gucci. The brand recently opened its third store in South Florida, where the focus is on women’s accessories, ready-to-wear for men and its impossible to resist children’s collection. HOT HOLIDAY PICK Ideal for day or night, the Dionysus GG Supreme shoulder bag ($2,290) has “it” status written all over it. 19501 Biscayne Blvd., Aventura, 305.521.5050

5. Avant-Garde Appeal
From the minds that brought us Maison Margiela, MM6's Design District store is the austere brand’s third and largest location in America. The 1,800-square-foot pop-up (which will be up through spring and perhaps beyond) already houses the label’s spring 2017 clothing and accessories. HOT HOLIDAY PICK Artist Aaron de la Cruz’s limited-edition bags (from $300) were a hit during Basel. Snap one up before they’re gone forever. 173 NE 40th St., Miami, 305.573.5069
