Claire Breukel has worked as an art professional for two decades. Currently, she works on corporate programs, private art collections, and is Head of American Friends for Zeitz Museum of
Contemporary Art Africa. She has also worked on special projects for (RED); as curator for Dacra and Craig Robins Collection; as director for The Robert S. Wennett and Mario
Cader-Frech Foundation to establish Y.ES Contemporary, a program dedicated to advancing
contemporary art from El Salvador, among others. Breukel has curated exhibitions in Cape Town, Prague, Paris, New York, Miami, San Salvador, and Vienna, and has written for Art Basel
Miami Beach Magazine, Harvard’s Revista,Whitewall, Arte Aldia, Eikon, and more.
