There’s no shortage of spectacular dazzlers at Mayors (mayors.com), but the jeweler’s new bespoke service allows customers to transform a cherished family heirloom into a modern and timeless piece that meets all their requirements. Here’s a step-by-step look at the customization process.
1. First Things First Customers bring their jewelry piece or stone into a consultation with Bruno Dunlop (above), the in-house designer who has been with Mayors for more than 30 years.
2. To the Drawing Board After Dunlop speaks to clients about how they want to transform their heirloom, he gets to work sketching his vision of the piece right in front of them. After all parties agree, a 3D rendering is created.
3. Hands-On Approach Once they receive directionfrom Dunlop, Mayors’ artisans go to work on the piece by hand, meticulously following the vision formed from that initial discussion.
4. The Big Reveal Six to eight weeks later, customers receive the finished piece. Final cost depends on materials and manufacturing labor, but design and consultation are free of charge.
