As the city’s culinary scene continues to soar, Miami’s native chef Michelle Bernstein is taking her talents to the Bahamas Oct. 27-29 for the Bahamas Culinary and Arts Festival. Partnering with chef Juan Meza of Rosewood Baha Mar’s restaurant, Costa, James Beard Foundation Award-winner Michelle Bernstein is creating an unforgettable culinary journey on Oct. 27 at 1 p.m. Complete with bold and fresh Latin flavors, guests of the culinary festival can savor inventive Latin cocktails and delectable cuisine paired with lively and vivacious Latin music.
"I feel humbled, excited and lucky to be paired with events that not only allow me to express who I am as a chef and share my experience with the guests of the Costa take-over lunch, but also serve a clientele that I may not have the opportunity to otherwise," Bernstein shares. "I’m thrilled to be working with some favorite of my favorite chefs from around the globe and have the chance to meet and work with the staff at Baha Mar."
Known for her bold and bright Latin flavors, Bernstein’s culinary style incorporates taste from her memories of travels, resulting in a distinct and diverse approach to cooking.
"It’s exciting to be able to represent my background and my cooking styles in a restaurant that also happens to highlight the flavors and cultures I’m very connected to," she shares. "I can’t fail to mention the background of the beautiful Bahamas and the incredible Rosewood at Baha Mar. I love combining a bit of rustic culture with luxury, incredible service and a true passion and love for hospitality. This event allows me to truly speak to the guests and explain and describe my food, my love for service and my passion for ingredients."
