Modern Luxury Brides South Florida and The Caribbean hosted its first annual Afternoon of Bridal Luxury in partnership with the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, dubbing it “Something Borrowed, Something “Bleau.” Guests were greeted with the Cointreau Strawberry Basil Ricky cocktail. Furniture provided by Lavish Event Rentals surrounded the stage where vocalist Kitty Carmichael offered a jazzy take on classic favorites and new hits. Models styled by Dry de Luxe presented looks by Bloomingdale’s Aventura as they strutted down the runway in chic and sexy lingerie. To cap off the runway show, Bloomingdale’s offered a $200 gift certificate towards one lucky bride-to-be’s lingerie collection.
Attendees then entered into a ballroom with stunning décor from Blooming Designs, and as guests enjoyed a gourmet luncheon by culinary masters at the Fontainebleau, a second runway show featured couture gowns by designer Rene Ruiz. When it was time for dessert, attendees entered the “Dream Up Showcase,” where they chose their pick for “Top Design” creation of four themed wedding receptions including Tri-Gold Sophistication, Marie Antoinette’s Garden, Mirrored Metallic Luxury and The Power of White.
During the showcase, bridal industry experts, such as Julien Diaz of Merge Social, editor Susan Moynihan of Modern Luxury Brides, planner Joan Love and Lourdes Sanchez of Society Cleaners took to the stage to offer tips to brides for the perfect wedding experience at the “Wedding Academy.” In between speakers, Adrian Alfonso from A Productions Inc. kept the atmosphere light with the perfect wedding mix.
Guests enjoyed sips from VOGA Italia, Cointreau and Keurig as they were offered services from Christie Pea Nail Salon & Beautique and Lapis Spa. Bridges Cinema slow motion video booth became the must-have booth for any event, and those looking to shop found ample baubles at Kirks Jewelry and custom candles from INL Collections. Giveaways included a Barbados wedding package from Weddings by Malissa and a Judith Ripka diamond Garland Cuff. As attendees departed, they received a luxe swag bag with offers from sponsors and a mini cake from the Fontainebleau pastry team.
