Andy Remembered

| January 30, 2012 | Parties

THE PARTY An undiscovered film by the King of Pop Art? Who knew? Interview magazine and The Andy Warhol Museum hosted a semi-screening of San Diego Surf, a never-before-seen feature that was shot in 1968 by the artist and Paul Morrissey, at The Standard hotel in Miami Beach. THE PLAYERS Think magazine world meets fashion world meets Miami. Among the guests were Interview editors Stephen Mooallem and Christopher Bollen, as well as filmmaker Matt Sinnreich, landscape architect Fernando Wong, and designers Eddie Borgo, Joseph Altuzarra and Oskar Metsavaht. THE SCENE As scenes from the film played on a screen, guests took in a multimedia installation by artnet. Characteristic of past Interview Basel parties, the evening included a surprise: a flash-mob performance of 30 “dancing Andys,” featuring dancers from Focal Point Dance Studios.
