Artistic Afternoon

| December 1, 2014 | Parties

Arts and power is right! More than 300 of South Florida business and civic leaders took time off from their busy schedules to attend the seventh annual Pérez Art Museum Miami Corporate Luncheon, and the break was worth it. At the lunch, JPMorgan Chase & Co. announced a major art gift to the museum’s permanent collection that includes six works by American women artists—Pat Stier, Marilyn Minter, Jenny Holzer and Maya Lin—following a discussion with JPMorgan Art Program director Lisa Erf and PAMM director Thom Collins. As the big news settled in, guests enjoyed a lunch reception and viewed the museum’s exhibition Beatriz Milhazes: Jardim Botânico. “We are thrilled that these pieces have found a great home at PAMM,” said Erf. “This collection belongs [here].” –Photography by World Red Eye
