Bravo Bravado

| May 13, 2015 | Parties

An atypically chilly night didn’t keep guests away from DACRA developer Craig Robins’ cocktail party for artist Paula Crown in honor of her public art installation, Transpositions, in the Design District. Attendees such as Andres Rozo, Anthony Liggins, Diane Sepler, Eduardo Rojo and Florencia Jimenez Marcos bundled up to get a look at Crown’s oeuvre near Palm Court. Souls—if not bodies—were warmed by a performance featuring the fellows of the New World Symphony, who delighted the crowd with a program of classics. Looking on like proud parents were the New World Symphony’s own CEO and president, Howard Herring, and artistic director, Michael Tilson Thomas. After much applause and Champagne sips, folks chatted up the artist about her contribution and tried to get Robins to spill the beans on which big-name brand is coming to the area next. –Photography by Nathan Valentine/World Red Eye
