Caloric Cheer

| April 28, 2016 | Parties

Culinary excess was the name of the game at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival, which celebrated its 15th anniversary with the gustatory excess fans of the event have come to expect.

From local gourmets to Michelin-approved chefs, the festival’s dozens of events featured a variety of top toques and celebrities. Among those: Neil Patrick Harris judging patties at the Burger Bash, Martha Stewart holding court alongside Jean-Georges Vongerichten at the Rosé Brunch, and a very pregnant Chrissy Teigen and hubby John Legend getting sweet at Fireman Derek’s Midnight Breakfast. Seen just about everywhere throughout the weekend? Festival founder Lee Brian Schrager.

All of the SBW&FF’s gatherings were well received, but buzz was rather loud about one particular soiree: the $1,500-a-head dinner hosted by Joël Robuchon at the Moore Building in the Design District, where major foodies and VIPs enjoyed a ridiculously decadent supper by one of Miami’s most anticipated future restaurateurs. Good taste, indeed. -Photography by Getty Images
