Miky and Leticia Grendene export Casa Tua’s brand of gusto to Europe.
Casa Tua in Miami Beach and its more casual offshoot, Casa Tua Cucina in Brickell City Centre, dominate the dining lists of some of the city’s most discerning and well-heeled foodies. Now, owners Miky and Leticia Grendene are taking their brand of good taste abroad with the opening of another Casa Tua location (its fourth) in Paris this fall. “In all we do we put our heart first while aiming to capture the special character of each city we [have a presence] in,” says Miky, who also operates a Casa Tua in Aspen. “This location will offer the classic Casa Tua experience with a touch of the city’s iconic soul.” Located on the Left Bank at the J.K. Place hotel (a favorite hospitality brand of fashion types and jet- setters), this French incarnation will stay true to the Casa Tua style that has served the Grendenes so well for almost 20 years. “Guests can expect the same classic cocktails and cuisine that our Miami properties are known for,” adds Miky. “From our linguine alla Nerano to our nut-crusted salmon and Mediterranean branzino, all the favorites will remain on the menu.” In terms of design, the couple tapped renowned architect and interior designer Michele Bonan for the decor, which offers a mix of bespoke Italian furniture, objets d’art and antiques from various Paris street markets. And if the Grendenes have it their way, there will be more expansions in the future. “We’re always looking,” says Leticia, “and we’re currently in talks for several new locations here in Miami and also internationally, including Milan, Mexico City, Sao Paulo and the South of France."
