Catwalk Confidential

| April 28, 2011 | Parties National

Back for its 13th year, Miami Beach International Fashion Week transformed the convention center into a glam spectacle of modish runways, style lounges and exhibitions. Established as one of the world’s premier fashion events, MBIFW attracted designers from around the globe, including Europe, Asia and the Caribbean. Everything from swimwear, jewelry, lingerie, menswear and women’s evening gowns were seen at the rebranded conference. Lines like Poshe by Camesha Powell and Julan by Juliette Dyke were featured during the Jamaican-themed showcase on Thursday, while Mauricio Alberino and Robert Flores from the Dominican Republic displayed their duds at the boys-only show on Friday. The four-day fest came to an end with the closing Miami Moda & Music Awards.
