When looking to satisfy a need for an over-the-top luxury retail fix, the destination of choice is always a day well spent in the Miami Design District. The upscale area lays claim to the most expensive retail spaces in Miami and is now prepared to welcome Chanel’s newest and architecturally impressive boutique in the heart of the city’s most coveted shopping oasis.
Designed by New York-based architect Peter Marino, the double-decked shop boasts 7,600 square feet while being home to the house’s latest ensembles of ready-to-wear, handbags, shoes, eyewear, fine jewelry and watches, as well as fragrance and beauty.

A longtime Chanel collaborator and visionary, Marino embraces the timeless allure of the iconic label through highlighting exterior detail and interior design as he creates a space that puts a spotlight on innovation, high fashion and craft smanship. Upon first impression of Chanel’s newest statement piece, Marino creates the outer framework to portray a pure, cool cube in contrast to an interior that is a warm, light-filled oasis.
Just in time for Art Basel week, artworks flow throughout the white handplastered walls as the carefully curated selection of works pays tribute to Gabrielle Chanel’s influential legacy as a patron of the arts. From a monumental camera obscura photograph by Vera Lutter to three works by Gregor Hildebrandt displayed above a magnificent 40-foot white staircase, the eye-catching showcase of artistic genius adds another layer of opulence onto the already-bold display of Chanel’s ready-to-wear and accessories.
