THE PARTY The call of philanthropy was heard loud and clear as Fashionably Conscious raised $110,000 for Coconut Groves Cares’ The Barnyard Community Center. The annual vintage designer sale, featuring items from the closets of some of Miami’s leading philanthropists, checked off its sixth edition with a bang. THE GUESTS Gala circuit regulars Lourdes Jofré-Collet, Raysa Fanjul and Rima Otrakji joined event supporters Darlene Pérez, Marcia Martinez and Amy Zakarin for a weekend of treasure hunting on the ground floor of Village of Merrick Park. THE DETAILS The three-day event kicked off with a VIP preview on Friday night, continued with an all-day sale on Saturday and concluded with an all-must-go clearance on Sunday. Among the items up for grabs were vintage Chanel earrings, Fendi and Gucci handbags, and Christian Louboutin heels. This year’s FC featured its first-ever silent auction, with items ranging from Lasik surgery at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute to a four-night/three-day stay at Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic. “I bought a bronze metallic Yves Saint Laurent suit that’s a showstopper,” said Liza Gallardo Walton, one of the event’s founding members. “I’ll be rocking that at Art Basel.” Photography by Yuliya Krauchuk
