Common Scents

| December 1, 2011 | Parties

Pucci and Fendi put fragrance on the social agenda. LVMH Fragrances doesn’t leave anything to chance. To commemorate the release of its newest scents, the company invited two very distinct groups of guests to a pair of very different events. First up was a luncheon at the home of Lisa Pliner for the release of Emilio Pucci’s Miss Pucci Intense. Hosted by Jessica Barlow and Bettina Bamberger of Pucci Parfums, the ladies-who-lunch affair was low-key enough with guests that included Deco Drive’s Belkys Nerey, jewelry designer Daniela Swaebe and philanthropist Christina Getty-Maercks. The next day brought a more formal celebration at Fendi Casa for the release of Fan di Fendi. Store manager Andrea Minnucci welcomed a select group of guests for a dinner in the showroom’s foyer. As branzino and heirloom greens made their way to dinner plates, conversation ranged from the sublime to the silly—Israel politics one minute, fad diets the next. Photography by Manny Hernandez
