Enjoy an intimate guitar concert celebrating the music of lauded Spanish composer, Joaquín Rodrigo (1901-1999). Cuban-born guitar virtuoso Rafael Padrón opens the program with Fantasía para un gentilhombre. Rene Izquierdo, praised by Classical Guitar Magazine for his “unforgettable versatility, sensitivity and sublime musicianship,” is showcased on Rodrigo’s ever-popular Concierto de Aranjuez. The concert culminates with Concierto Andaluz for four guitars and orchestra, with multi-award winning Isaac Bustos in the solo chair—hailed by Guitarra Magazine as “an extraordinary ambassador of the classical guitar.”
