Creatively Speaking

| September 25, 2013 | Parties

Art never fails to inspire the social crowds in Miami, and the recent Unscripted Bal Habour was no exception. Hosted by Christine Y. Kim, associate curator of contemporary art at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and Michael Spring, director of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, the evening began with a talk between the two experts on the merits of public art. Among the guests at the event were collector Cricket Taplin, Rubell Collection Director Juan Valdez, artist Christy Gast and gallerist Nina Johnson. After the chat at ONE Bal Harbour, guests moved to the hotel’s restaurant, Mr. Collins, for dinner. Photography by Brett Hufziger/
