A New Era of Fashion: Highest on the Runway
Resort 24, presented by Da Bohemian Bazaar, was an experience that took place in a private Miami location during sunset on May 30th. This event promised to transport attendees to a tropical paradise, complete with the serene ambiance of an island getaway. The runway showcased resort wear inspired by exotic islands and African tribal culture, with real hemp plants from South Tip enhancing the immersive atmosphere.
Cristina’s vision was brought to life by an exceptional team of industry-leading professionals. Key Artists Michelle Venta and Brazil Raine led the makeup direction crafting looks that seamlessly complemented the tribal theme. Key Artist Latto Method directed hair styling, with each look elevated to new heights of sophistication. “I’m deeply dedicated to making Resort 24 the must-attend event for the fashion-savvy and cannabis connoisseurs alike,” Cristina said.
A Bold Vision by Da Bohemian Bazaar
At the heart of Resort 24 was Da Bohemian Bazaar, the brainchild of Marlo Darrington. Born and raised in Kansas City, Marlo’s journey from real estate development to retail at Neiman Marcus, and eventually to public service, shaped her entrepreneurial spirit. Inspired by a pilot project in Hoboken, Marlo identified South Florida as the perfect hub for her venture, drawn by its vibrant resort and cruiseliner industries.
Marlo’s tenacity and commitment to inclusivity and affordability set Da Bohemian Bazaar apart from other fashion boutiques. She navigates the multifaceted aspects of running a successful business with ease, from sourcing and branding to marketing and human resources. Her recent recognition as a recipient of Flourish Media’s Small Business Grant underscores her dedication and vision for the brand’s growth. With plans to expand into boutique hotels in Brickell, international markets in the Caribbean and Europe, and now a high-profile collaboration with Cristina Plinio, Marlo is poised to make Da Bohemian Bazaar a global destination for fashionable yet accessible clothing options.
