Artist Dale Chihuly Launches A Lineup Of Lavish Rugs

Renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly is known for his intricately sculptured creations. And thanks to The Rug Company, now you can walk on them, as his colorfully translucent designs have been translated onto handknotted Tibetan wool and silk carpets. NIBA Designs looked to the curious minds of Yayoi Kusama, Josef Albers and Jackson Pollock to inspire its art-forward floor coverings. And Kyle Bunting’s hair-on-hide Atlas collection, a collaboration with photographer Douglas Friedman, takes its cues from the Marfa, Texas, landscape. Looking through the lens of an artist’s eye, these and other artistically inclined rugs will have you closely watching your step.
