Designer Appeal

| February 26, 2015 | Parties

Artist Kris Knight had one ball of a Basel! Together with Spinello Projects founder Anthony Spinello, the artist hosted his solo exhibition, Smell the Magic, with the seal of approval of none other than Gucci (which sponsored the show). The gathering drew some of the biggest names in town for Art Week, and prime among them was Gucci’s creative director herself, Frida Giannini, who incorporated Knight’s prints into her men’s collection last spring. After much mingling with VIPs like Michael Chow, Edgardo Defortuna, Rebecca Guinness and Craig Robins, Knight and Spinello headed across the bridge to Siena Tavern in South Beach for the afterparty, hosted by Modern Luxury, where the artist revealed Miami’s December 2014 cover featuring one of his recent paintings. –‌Photography by Brett Hufziger & Joe Schildhorn/Billy Farrell Agency
