Diamond Standard

The Party
The (diamond) stars came out to play for Tiffany & Co.’s much-awaited debut in the Design District. To commemorate the renowned jeweler’s opening of its first street-front store in Florida, the company’s top brass invited a select number of VIPs to a cocktail party and an intimate dinner that made the most of the two-floor location.

The Crowd
Both jewelry fanatics and fans were on hand to support Tiffany’s shining Miami moment. Among the guests in attendance were DACRA head Craig Robins, Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine, developer Rock Soffer, marketing honcho Manny Machado, Univision host Raul de Molina, The Miami Herald Publisher Alex Villoch and the unmistakable and gregarious Jacqueline Dascal-Chariff (chairwoman of Continental National Bank), who couldn’t get enough of the treasures in the store’s vitrines.

The Highlights
As soon as guests were welcomed into the boutique with chilled Champagne, most couldn’t resist walking around to discover its many charms. After an hour or so of serious mingling, guests moved to the second level for the dinner, where Florida Market Vice President Jonathan Bruckner led a toast and spoke of Tiffany’s heritage. Four courses later, attendees were sent home with the signature blue bags Tiffany is so synonymous with. Inside? An Elsa Peretti bowl—a golden keepsake for what was definitely a sparkling evening. –Photography by World Red Eye
