Conversation takes center stage at SUGARCANE raw bar grill, with the introduction of Executive Chef Timon Balloo’s Dinner with Friends series. This unique monthly gathering, invites guests to break bread among friends – both new and old - for an enchanting evening that captures the intimacy and comfort of a home cooked meal. Throughout the evening guests will enjoy a six course meal with beverage pairings prepared by Balloo and his special guest co-host Jamie DeRosa, executive chef of Geoffrey Zakarian's restaurant, Tudor House at the Dream South Beach.
Balloo and DeRosa, will interact with diners as they present and explain the menu that captures their respective journeys in the restaurant industry. Showcasing culinary integrity with a sampling of ingredient-driven dishes that include Foie Gras Chestnut Soup served two ways and Thyme-Braised Oxtail with rice and peas from Balloo and Portuguese Octopus, gigande beans, citrus and Boeuf Bourguignon a la Julia Child circa 1999 from DeRosa.
Presented on the fourth Monday of each month, the dinner is limited to 15 guests, ensuring a memorable and engaging experience. Co-hosts and the menu will change monthly, making each dinner truly unique. A seat at the table is $85, food and beverage included (tax and gratuity additional).
