THE PARTY
Dsquared2 principals Dean and Dan Caten are no strangers to Miami social circles—especially during the heady days of Basel. But once-a-year visits were just not enough, and their personal affinity for the city is one of the reasons they credit with opening their third American store at Bal Harbour Shops. The stylish twins showed said love in person when they held an opening celebration for the boutique’s debut, followed by an intimate dinner at the new Mandolin Beach at Soho Beach House.
THE CROWD
There’s chic—then there’s chic Dsquared2-style. Living up to the hip standards of the brand, the Catens’ cohorts at their festivities were as cream of the crop as guest lists get— with dressed-to-the-nines individuals from both near and far. Among those frolicking about were gallerist Anthony Spinello, designer-photographer Milan Vukmirovic (and his sinewy biceps), models Alegria Beracasa and Daphne Groeneveld, and a bevy of other DNA-blessed souls.
THE HIGHLIGHTS
While the store soiree was engaging through and through—dressing rooms that recall Canadian rain forests have a way of getting people talking—it was the gregarious, socially lubricated vibe of the dinner party at Soho that made the evening extra special. Spicy conversations? Check! One too many cocktails? Check! A summer night to remember? One-hundred percent yes! -Photos by World Red Eye
