Miami continues to reinvent itself, attracting visitors from all over the world. As president and CEO of Fortune International Group (fortuneintlgroup.com), Edgardo Defortuna knows all about the magic this city brings. Overseeing sales for exciting projects, including the Cipriani Residences Miami and developing The Ritz-Carlton Residences Pompano Beach and more, we chat with Defortuna to learn about his plans for the future and the city’s unique appeal to the international market.
What are some new projects you are excited about?
I’m most excited about our latest branded residences, Ora by Casa Tua, which just launched, and The St. Regis Residences, Sunny Isles Beach. They are both spectacular projects we are creating with world-renowned luxury brands that will offer our residents great service and attention to detail. We also have some new interesting projects in development for 2023 that we are looking forward to introducing to the market later this year.
What excites you most about Miami real estate?
Right now, everything is exciting about Miami. The city has been elevated onto a global stage, and we’re seeing interest from all over the world, not just one specific area. Miami is an ever-evolving city and is a global epicenter in its own right.
What does Miami offer that other cities lack?
My favorite thing is the diversity in the city. It’s unique to other areas of the country and a main part of its appeal. Miami offers residents and visitors the ultimate lifestyle and quality of life that can’t be found in other major urban areas.

What do you think the future of Miami’s real estate and development scene looks like?
Compared to any other metropolitan city, Miami provides a plethora of opportunities for future growth. On the horizon, we can expect to see very exciting developments being announced alongside strong luxury brands that will offer excellent architecture and incredible amenities that will continue to raise the bar.
