It’s no secret acai bowls are the perfect fun and healthy snack, and Miami has gotten lucky in the smoothie bowl department. Ernie’s Acai, Miami’s newest acai spot, has just sunk roots in the heart of Coral Gables. With a 100% organic soft serve blend made with all organic juices, Ernie’s Acai offers the most high-quality bowls and puts them in customers’ hands in under two minutes through their unique and innovative serving method. This new spot serves acai bowls that are organic, vegan-friendly and dairy free.
Ernie’s Acai combines delicious and nutritious ingredients into an inventive experience via a soft serve pour previously only reserved for ice cream. This the first acai store to bring this fun technique into the space, making the occasion personal and efficient. When it's time to pour your smoothie, guests can choose from ten signature bowl combinations in three sizes. Don’t forget to select from various additional toppings to elevate the already scrumptious dish. If you’d rather have your smoothie in a cup, like in the olden days, Ernie’s makes four smoothies, the traditional way, for customers to enjoy.
“Our mission is to create healthy and delicious superfood meal options that remove the guesswork from eating healthy,” said Hernando Caicedo, a partner of Ernie’s Acai. “Ernie’s superfood bowls use only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. Regardless of the time of day, we have a bowl for you.”
Beginning as a business trip to Arizona and resulting in a creative idea and business concept, the brains behind the concept had a centralized goal to bring good and nourishing food and meal options to the residents of South Florida. The team strayed away from the standard frozen base and opted for a soft-serve blend their partners created in Tempe, Arizona. The proprietary mix is all organic with organic juices that do not contain water, inhibiting the base from melting and giving it a thick consistency packed with flavor. The mixture is not only unparalleled in taste.
Try their signature bowl, the Tropicalista – made with their distinctive soft serve blend and topped with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, pineapple, toasted coconut, almond butter drizzle, granola, and coconut oil – you can also add additional toppings like flax seeds, agave nectar, cacao nibs, shaved chocolate, blueberries, and much more. Ernie’s acai smoothies are also a great option if you are on the go, with delightful tastes available like the Lost Gypsie – featuring acai berry, strawberries, banana, peanut butter, chocolate, and cashew milk – and the PB & J – acai berry, pitaya, banana, strawberries, apple juice, cashew milk, protein powder, chocolate, peanut butter, and dark cherries. If your morning cannot be completed without a cup of caffeine, Ernie’s also serves espresso drinks with an assortment of options from macchiatos to cappuccinos.
If you’re feeling fancy, opt for their 24K Magic Acai Bowl, where 24K gold dust, enrobed 24K Gold Flakes, and toasted coconut flakes sit atop their characteristic soft serve acai. This menu item is not for the faint of heart; the $240 bowl boasts the most expensive acai bowl in the world.
“Miami is an over-the-top city,” said Andrew Platt, a partner of Ernie’s Acai. “In that light, we created the 24K Magic bowl to be as vibrant and next-level as the Magic City.”
Ernie’s Acai is planning an acai takeover, with plans to expand within the South Florida area and eventually open future locations in other states. Currently, the team’s primary focus is the new Coral Gables location. They invite guests to indulge in their unique bowls Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m, with indoor and outdoor seating available perfect for a nice al-fresco experience with loved ones.
