Estefan Kitchen now open in Miami Design District

| March 7, 2017 | Calendar

International superstars Emilio & Gloria Estefan's fine-dining Cuban restaurant, Estefan Kitchen, is now open in the Miami Design District, a neighborhood dedicated to uniting design, destination dining, fashion, art and architecture. With Estefan Kitchen, the renowned Miami tastemakers collaborate for the first time with their longtime friend Craig Robins, CEO and President of DACRA, to open the neighborhood's first Cuban restaurant.

EAT Helmed by Chef Odell Torres, the menu offers reimagined versions of traditional Estefan family recipes, with dishes such as lechón flatbread, lechón crispy moros, vaca frita, and braised short ribs, showcasing Cuban cuisine's bold flavors with locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant’s outdoor bar & dining area faces Palm Court, home to Buckminster Fuller's Fly's Eye Dome and provides an ideal spot to enjoy leisurely cocktails or bites. An express café offers “grab & go” items, cafecitos, fresh juices and healthy shakes.

VIBE Estefan Kitchen presents a rotating roster of live music and performing servers & bartenders, inspired by the Estefans’ passion for world-class entertainment. Based on a conceptual design by Emilio Estefan and Aldo Ducci of Arkiteko Co., architectural design by Jose Vidal and Manuel Fernandez and interior design by Michele Gonzalez-Vidal all of V3 Architectural Group, interiors are inspired by the beauty and promise of 1950s Cuba, paying homage to the vibrant design, culture and warmth of the era. Dramatic mosaic murals, an art deco column and a modern 34-seat, oyster shell-mosaic bar decorate the interior space, while an outdoor bar welcomes guests for a variety of refreshing cocktails.
