Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden welcomes the fall season with exciting events all month long. As temperatures drop, the world-renowned 83-acre historical garden prepares for festivities for friends, family and even pups to enjoy.
The garden will have its ongoing attractions, including the Butterfly Exhibit or Wings of the Tropics in the Clinton Family Conservatory, plus its featured fall events.
Events include Orchids in October on Oct. 15 and 16 from 10AM-5PM. Guests are encouraged to spend the day wandering the grounds, browsing exotic and tropical orchids and shopping from local vendors. Fairchildren’s orchid scientists and experts will also provide lectures throughout the day.
Other events include the Sip & Stroll on Oct. 20, when garden-goers can enjoy specialty cocktails and indulge in delicious food. The month’s theme is London night, with a rock band playing hits from classics such as The Beatles, Queen, Led Zeppelin and more.
There’s no better way to spend quality time outside than with your furry friend. Dress up your pup and go to this year’s dog date Halloween costume contest. On Oct. 30 from 8-10:00AM, guests can enter the competition to win two tickets to this year’s NightGarden, Fairchild’s award-winning holiday light show. Tickets will be awarded to the cutest, scariest and best dynamic duos, so make sure to arrive early, as space is limited.
