Families will travel the globe with family-friendly outdoor activities and performances celebrating “Music ‘Round the World!” Parents and children alike will have a blast at this fun-filled day full of music, dancing, face-painting, storytelling, mini-workshops and performances by Ballet Brika West African Dance Theater, Jeremy Plays Guitar and Fushu Daiko. In addition, the Miami Music Project Honors Orchestra, the city's most dynamic youth ensemble, will take all guests into a world of musical Olympics, where sports and sound meet and nothing is impossible. This Family Fest orchestral concert, taking place inside the John S. and James L. Knight Concert Hall, will fully display the commitment to the development of talented young musicians and the transformational power of the performing arts.
