The Miami Design District will participate in fashion’s most iconic after-hours shopping extravaganza, Fashion’s Night Out, now in its fourth year. Across the country and around the world, retailers and designers are planning an evening of special events, offers and exclusive designs that will prove irresistible to fashionistas everywhere.
As a destination for world-class fashion, the Miami Design District has few equals with luxury retailers such as Marni, Christian Louboutin and Maison Martin Margiela, now joined by Cartier and Celine. In conjunction with cities around the world, fashion stores across the Miami Design District will come together to offer limited-time-only promotions, entertainment, and special events. Fashion’s Night Out is a global initiative started in 2009 by American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company, and the City of New York.
This is the third year that Miami-Dade County is an official host of Fashion’s Night Out. Miami Design District is a partner of The Beacon Council, Miami-Dade County ’s official economic development partnership, which is spearheading local, county-wide involvement in this one-night event.
As well as offering the opportunity to spruce up wardrobes courtesy of the many designers and fashion retailers in the Miami Design District, shoppers can take in music from 6:00 to 11:00pm by DJ Mike Sikes and a live musical performance by avant-dance duo Afrobeta at Oak Plaza Plummer Alley and 39th Street.
This year, one lucky fashionista will have a chance to win a highly coveted swag bag filled with items from the District’s luxury retailers. A special Fashion’s Night Out scavenger hunt will take place via Twitter using the hashtag #FNOMiami. Members of the public will also have a chance to be the face of the District’s Fashion’s Night Out by Tweeting photos of their style @DesignDistrict with #FNOMIAMI to be featured on Instagram walls throughout the District.
Participating Miami Design District retailers for Fashion’s Night Out include En Avance, Marni, Maison Martin Margiela, Anya Ponorovskaya, Scotch & Soda, Sebastien James, Turchin Love & Light Collection, I on the District, and The District Factory.
