Each year the design community supports Florida International University’s Interior Architecture department at the Festival of the Trees. The “trees” are conceived and created by leading designers and auctioned at the event. This holiday extravaganza has raised more than $200,000 in funds that directly benefits interior architecture students.
Sponsors of this event underwrite designers/artists/tree creators who design and build their unique holiday creations and donate them to the event. The trees are displayed and the auction begins at the gala opening event held at the Moore building in Miami's Design District. This event is traditionally attended by more than 800 guests. The trees are then transported and displayed at Dadeland Mall for the holiday season.
