The restaurant will be located at The Plaza Coral Gables, a newly constructed high-end shopping, dining, hospitality, and entertainment destination only steps from The Gables' famous Miracle Mile.

Fogo de Chão’s two-story Coral Gables location, was designed in collaboration with Dallas-based architecture and design firm Harrison. It will feature a 280-seat dining room anchored by an open-air churrasco bar where guests can dine while watching gaucho chefs demonstrate the culinary art of churrasco as they butcher, prepare, and grill various cuts of protein over an open flame. The new flagship site will include a spacious outdoor terrace for al fresco eating, soaring wine cases showing South America's greatest varietals, and dry-aged meat lockers for in-house aging.

The Next Level Lounge, an exclusive lounge located on the new restaurant's mezzanine level, is one of the location's other unique features. Guests can relax in a luxurious atmosphere while sampling fine whiskeys, bourbons, and South American wines that have been hand-picked to complement the overall experience.

The Butchery, a grab-and-go store in Coral Gables, will commemorate the art of churrasco, which Fogo's gaucho cooks demonstrate every day. In The Butchery, guests can sample exotic charcuterie while consulting with skilled butchers about the best cut of meat to grill at home.

General Manager Neimar Hensel, a native of Brazil, will lead the Coral Gables staff. Hensel began his career with Fogo in 2019 as an Assistant Manager at the Orlando site, working his way up to his most recent role as General Manager of the Miami Beach restaurant.

"The Gables community has been very welcoming to our growing team, and we look forward to sharing our warm Brazilian hospitality with another location in South Florida. At Fogo, we continuously strive to provide a dining experience of discovery and joy for our guests," said Hensel. "The premier dining and shopping scene at The Plaza Coral Gables is the perfect setting for us to show our Fogo fans and new guests what's next for Fogo as we showcase our new design and experiences."
