Gala Glam

| February 22, 2012 | Parties National

Take a lesson all you Zac Efrons out there: at 76, Robert Redford can still draw a crowd with the best of them. The actor breezed into town for the An Affair of the Arts Performance and Gala, where he made ladies of all ages actually blush. The evening began at the Gusman Center with a performance by alumni of the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts before the organization’s annual awards presentation at which Redford was handed the top honor, the Arison Award. Following the show, attendees headed over to the JW Marriott Marquis for the party portion of the event. Seen out and about were some of the city’s top philanthropists, including Lin Arison, Marvin Ross Friedman, Sanford Ziff and Stephanie Ansin. The celebration served as the culmination of YoungArts Week, a series of workshops and classes for the nation’s top fine and performing arts students that’s sponsored by the NFAA and takes place in Miami every year.
