THE PARTY As part of a nationwide initiative around the country to reach out to new potential clients, Mr Porter, the online retail little brother to Net-A-Porter, held a private cocktail party at Soho Beach House to reacquaint Miami’s men of style with its blue-chip inventory. THE CROWD A carefully vetted guest list ensured only fashion-minded gents were in attendance— all fitting the Mr Porter ideal—from dandy suit types to avant-garde fashionistas who consider garments a religion. Mr Porter’s own Carlos Rivera-Anaya (U.S. marketing manager) and Michael Krueger (U.S. PR manager) welcomed the many guests who made the party. THE SCENE The evening began with poolside cocktails at Ocho, where guests were treated to informal fashion shows highlighting fall 2012’s biggest hits. Post schmoozing and fashion talk, a select group of men (some with their ladies) then made their way to the Soho Beach House library for a three-course meal paired with Ketel One cocktails. On their way out the door, guests discovered a most welcome surprise in the form of a $500 certificate to Mr Porter inside their gift bags. Fashion rocks, indeed! Photography by World Red Eye
