Hotelier and principal of Menin Hospitality (meninhospitality.com) Keith Menin is continually working to take his portfolio of hotels, restaurants and nightlife destinations to new heights. With the new Gale Miami Hotel & Residences inside the Natiivo Miami tower, they are setting a new trend in luxury stays. We sat down with the hospitality entrepreneur to catch up on the latest.
Tell me where you are in the construction process with Gale Miami Hotel & Residences.
Natiivo Miami and Gale Miami Hotel & Residences broke ground on the development on Feb. 11, 2021, at 601 NE First St. Completion is slated for 2023.
Once completed, who do you see as visitors of the hotel, and who do you see as buyers of the project?
When choosing to stay at the Gale Miami, guests are looking for a place that is all-encompassing, from our restaurants and amenities to top-of-the-line hotel services. We have homed in on the ‘live, stay, work and play’ mentality. Gale Miami Residences are the perfect product for those who want to own real estate in Miami and appreciate a true hotel level of service, in addition to those who seek flexibility and the opportunity to utilize their unit as a pied-a-terre or for homesharing.
What makes it special in your opinion?
Located on floors 11 through 23 within our Natiivo Miami tower, Gale Miami will offer owners and visitors alike a one-of-a-kind experience. As a visitor of the Gale Miami, not only are you in the center of all that Downtown has to offer, but within the development you will have access to our exclusive, members-only social club, Natiivo Social; you have the ability to own office space within Creative HQ; there will be various food and beverage offerings like Dolce Mercato and Bodega Taqueria; and so much more.
We’ve heard of these projects within projects lately. The Gale Miami Hotel & Residences will be part of Natiivo. Is this a trend you are seeing in real estate?
With these residences and our hotel concept, I believe we are setting a trend in Miami. Typically, developments of this size are strictly office space or strictly residential space. But at 51 stories high, Natiivo Miami is one of the most exciting mixed-use projects ever conceived.
What can you tell us about the collaboration of John Meadow of LDV Hospitality? What can we expect from him?
In addition to their collaboration specifically on Gale Miami for all food and beverage programming, John and LDV Hospitality will curate the F&B experience within Natiivo Social. The team plans to introduce a first-of-its-kind Italian market concept (derived from his restaurant Dolce) called Dolce Mercato on the ground floor of Natiivo Miami.
What do you see for real estate as we leave the pandemic behind and head into 2021?
The city of Miami is resilient and real estate, in particular, is soaring. People are buying more, supply is dwindling, and there is a huge demand for a product that’s ahead of the curve. The hospitality and real estate industries are thriving, and we are witnessing an influx of people wanting to buy, sell and visit. It’s a wonderful thing to see.
