A rendering of the dining room of the new KAORI at the SLS LUX Brickell
Good taste is a given at the new KAORI in Brickell. The Mediterranean-Asian restaurant is scheduled to open this May with 4,500 square feet of evening-time vibes. Inside the two-story eatery, designer Esteban Bressan (in collaboration with Interior Image Group) infused natural and minimalist tones that embrace both Asian and Mediterranean elements. The kitchen is the domain of chef Fabrizio Garofolin, a man well versed in the nuances of fusion cuisine and whose menu will include selections such as yellowfin tuna with charred avocado, homemade short rib dumplings with manchego foam and A5 Japanese Miyazaki Kobe strip loin with shiso chimichurri. A thorough beverage program by James Mcleenes, Macarena Carrillo and Mariel Dalmau puts the emphasis on execution and presentation. Sure sounds like Miami’s summer dining scene just got more glamorous. SLS LUX Brickell, 871 S. Miami Ave., Miami, kaorimiami.com
