Try These 8 Bone-Chilling Halloween Cocktails

As Halloween creeps up on us, there is no better time to try out spooky libations. To celebrate this time of the year, we have some of our favorite drink recipes for a devilishly good time.

Casa Crazy Eyes

Get into the spirit of Halloween with this Casamigos-based cocktail. Guaranteed to raise your spirits, this cocktail will be a hit at your next gathering.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz. Casamigos Blanco Tequila
  • 1.5 oz. lychee liqueur
  • 1 oz. fresh lemon juice
  • .5 oz. simple syrup
  • Four basil leaves
  • ½ Thick Rim Black Lava Salt/Sugar 2:1 Ratio
  • Garnish with two lychee balls stuffed with Luxardo cherries through a skewer and Luxardo cherry juice drizzle.

Methodology:

Wet half the glass rim with a lime wheel or wedge and dip it into the salt and sugar mixture. Combine all ingredients in a tin shaker. Add ice, shake vigorously, fine strain into rimmed martini glass and garnish.

Cristalino Crawler

Putting the boo in this boozy cocktail, this tequila-based libation is elegant and eerie. Sip on this creative concoction for a decadent good time.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz. Casamigos cristalino tequila
  • 1.25 oz. melon liqueur
  • 1 oz. fresh pineapple juice
  • .5 oz. fresh lemon juice
  • Optional: 1 pinch cinnamon
  • ½ thick rim black lava salt and sugar
  • Optional garnish with black faux spiders

Methodology:

Wet half the rim of a large coupe or martini glass with a lemon wedge or wheel and dip into the salt mixture. Combine all ingredients in a tin shaker. Add ice, shake vigorously and strain into rimmed glass. Add fresh ice and garnish.

The Witching Hour

Created by Hendrick’s West Coast ambassador, Mattias Horseman, the Witching Hour captures the essence of Hendrick’s rose and cucumber. This wicked beverage blends beautifully with jam or preserves to create a curious Halloween cocktail.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Parts Hendrick’s Gin
  • 1 part fresh lemon juice
  • Two spoons of a fruit preserve or jam of your choice; we recommend blackberry or strawberry
  • ¼ simple syrup (Optional)

Methodology:

Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake with ice. Fine strain into a rocks glass over ice and garnish with fruit matching the jam/preserve used.

Spice Pumpkin Miracle

Created by Milagro Tequila West Coast ambassador Luis Lopez, the classic fall cocktail looks as splendid as it tastes and will pair perfectly with all your spooky season happenings.

Ingredients:

  • 2 parts Milagro Reposado
  • 1 part lemon juice
  • 1 part Orgeat (Liquid Alchemist)
  • 1 part pumpkin puree
  • Garnish with a smoked cinnamon stick and 2-star anise.

Methodology:

Add all ingredients to a shaker and shake for 10 seconds to allow all ingredients to dissolve. Finally, strain into a tall glass with fresh ice, garnish and enjoy.

Verde Que Te Quiero Verde at Koko and Bakan

At Koko and Bakan’s authentic Mexican restaurants, guests can enjoy the bonehouse blend of Verde Que Te Quiero Verde, a colorful twist on a classic margarita. Served in a skull-shaped glass, this skeletal spirit pairs perfectly with the restaurant’s creepy crawler dishes.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila
  • 1.5 oz cilantro agave (juice cilantro to taste and blend with agave)
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice

Method:

Juice a handful of cilantro to taste and blend with agave. Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake well until chilled. Pour the drink over ice into a salted-rim glass.

Smokin Painkiller at Puttshack

Puttshack is showcasing holiday-themed cocktails like this smoky mystery. The Smokin Painkiller is complete with ghostly smoke and a piercing eyeball for a hauntingly good time.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz. Pussers rum
  • 1 oz. Stroh rum
  • 1 oz. pineapple juice
  • 1 oz. orange juice
  • 1 oz. coconut
  • One filthy black cherry
  • One lychee

Methodology:

Fill a clean cocktail shaker with large cubed ice and add all ingredients. Shake, chill and pour into a rocks glass. Garnish with a cherry inside the lychee skewer.

Dracula’s Kiss at Shoma Bazaar

At Shoma Bazaar, indulge in a bewitching elixir that beckons with a deep crimson hue. Dracula’s Kiss is a sinfully delicious cocktail that will cast a spell over your senses.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz. Tito’s Vodka infused with dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1 oz. fresh lime juice
  • .25 oz. strawberry puree
  • 1 oz. passion fruit lemon perfect
  • Topped with black pea vine flower tea
  • Garnish with lychee and a gummy eyeball

Methodology:

Pour the vodka, lime juice and strawberry puree into a tin shaker and shake. Pour lemon perfect into the tin, strain into a glass and add crushed ice. Lastly, top with black pea vine flower tea. Garnish the cocktail with lychee and a gummy eyeball.

Reese’s Puffs Old Fashioned at Broken Shaker, Freehand Miami

Inspired by the playful flavors of Reese’s Puff, this drink seamlessly blends the rich flavors of peanut butter with Angel’s Envy Bourbon at Broken Shaker in Freehand Miami. Each sip of this seasonal special is a nostalgic nod to the cereal while capturing the essence of Fall.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. Reese’s Puffs Batch infused with Angel’s Envy bourbon
  • .25 oz. of Demerara syrup
  • Three dashes of Angostura chocolate bitter

Methodology:

Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass. Then, serve in a rocks glass with a large king cube and garnish with orange peel.

Finesse Espresso Martini at Pink Taco Miami

The Finesse Espresso is a silky smooth and subtly sweet caffeinated cocktail made at Pink Taco Miami. Infused with Caffe liqueur and Disaronno Velvet, this beverage is the perfect drink to kickstart your holiday season.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz El Jimador Blanco
  • 1 oz Borghetti Café espresso liqueur
  • 1 oz Disaronno Velvet
  • 0.5 oz simple agave
  • Top with cinnamon powder

Methodology:

Combine all ingredients into a shaker tin with ice and shake vigorously. Once finished, strain into a coupe glass, garnish with cinnamon powder, and you’re ready to serve.
