Mother-son duo Jill and Max Johnson continue to amaze us with their charitable jewelry brand, Awe Inspired (aweinspired.com), launched with a goal to celebrate women who have overcome adversity—like Jill, a three-time cancer survivor—while simultaneously giving back to charity. To date, the team has donated more than $500,000 to those in need, with 20% of each purchase going to the organization of the buyer’s choosing. “We don’t consider ourselves a fashion jewelry company,” says Max. “Rather, we view jewelry as a vehicle for personal empowerment and self discovery.” This May, the philanthropic brand rolls out its Aura by Awe collection. Made up of incandescent pendants representing the primary chakras, the pieces feature precious gemstones cut in the sacred geometric shapes that best foster each respective vibrational energy.
