La Mar by Gastón Acurio, an award-winning pillar of Peruvian gastronomy, is relocating to Brickell in 2025, just one mile from its current home at the Mandarin Oriental, Miami. The reimagined space will blend the restaurant’s iconic flavors with a sophisticated new design by DesignAgency. Construction is underway for this exciting evolution of the beloved establishment.

“It has been an incredible 10-plus years at the Mandarin Oriental, Miami, and now we are embracing the opportunity to refresh our look and further finesse the La Mar experience,” said Gastón Acurio. “While our new home will have the same feel and soul as the original, we’re excited to introduce a more modern take on our vision, where every dish, drink, and design element is elevated to the next iteration of La Mar.” This refreshed concept promises to captivate loyal and new guests with its renowned culinary offerings.

La Mar’s menu continues to showcase vibrant Peruvian flavors, with dishes like fresh cebiches and grilled anticuchos alongside the bounty of Peru and Florida. Under Acurio’s leadership, La Mar has earned recognition from the Florida Michelin Guide and the World’s 50 Best Discovery. Notably, Peru’s El Comercio named it the Best Peruvian Restaurant in the U.S.. Chef Diego Oka, a longtime collaborator, has been essential in maintaining La Mar’s excellence, blending authenticity with the local community’s tastes.
Since opening in Lima in 2005, La Mar has expanded globally, with locations from San Francisco to Dubai.
