Miami Art Week and Art Basel Miami Beach are back, and it is a week full of excitement, energy and parties. With an unprecedented amount of events going on and reasons to celebrate, we have rounded up some highlights and hotspots to attend this 2022 season.

Miami Design District
As one of Miami’s most vibrant neighborhoods, it is fitting the Design District is set to host multiple cultural exhibitions and galleries this year. From new shop openings, including Balenciagom Moncler and Fendi Casa, to the Prizm Art Fair, Daniel Arsham’s The Row’s Ares House, Germane Barnes’ Design Commission “Rock | Roll'' and so much more, the Design District has something for everyone this Art Week.
Art Miami + CONTEXT Art Miami
PORSCHE’S “THE ART OF DREAMS” Series
This immersive installation created by Scottish artist Chris Labrooy aims to connect us to our inner child when our imagination runs wild. The larger-than-life figure, created and drafted in a virtual world, bridges the gap between computer animation and the physical world. Displayed at the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), the figure is accessible to the public during the museum's hours.
W Hotels and Mambo Creatives
In collaboration with Pilar Zeta and Miranda Makaroff, W Hotels and Mambo Creatives make their Art Basel debut with a daring and original installation set to be unveiled on Nov. 29 at the Hands on Sand party. With installations by Zeta open to the public throughout the week, the art invited those to view the series reflecting a transforming reality.
ARTECHOUSE
Featuring innovative and technology-driven experiential art, ARTECHOUSE partners with Pantone for the Pantone Color of the Year 2023 immersive art experience. Open to the public from Dec. 3 through Spring 2023; the experience invites art-goers to immerse themselves in an exhibit that incorporates auditory, visual and tactical elements allowing guests to feel the Pantone’s color of the year.
Art for Good
In partnership with Miami Symphony Orchestra, MONAD Studio, and the Miami City Ballet. Art for Good showcases local artists across multiple disciplines. Held at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach during Miami Art Week 2022, the program celebrated Miami’s iconic history. The multi-sensory experience will also spotlight international and acclaimed artists.
UBS Art Collection
Set to host the panel discussion, Beyond Representation: Reimagining the Way Ahead, the UBS Lounge and Studio will celebrate the diversification of its renowned collection. The panel will explore artist representation with Hugo McCloud and Amanda Williams, accessible to the public on Dec. 2 and moderated by Larry Ossei-Mensah.
Tomas Redrado Art
The Miami art gallery is showcasing the latest exhibit, Ping Pong, which will display the works of Miranda Makaroff and François Thevenet. This is Makaroff’s first US exhibit, and the first time her work has been featured will Thevenet, although the two have known each other for years.
Rosanna Kalis at Shelborne South Beach
Shelborne South Beach is set to host contemporary Korean artist Rosanna Kalis for a unique activation in the hotel’s Oasis Garden. The installations will transform the space with murals, hanging clouds and digital screens showcasing art and K-pop music videos. The invite-only event will be held on Dec. 1, followed by musical performances.
Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science
Held during Art Week, the Frost Museum is set to host the Filmgate Interactive Media Festival. The organization, which focuses on inclusivity and diversity, is committed to bringing in stories from all backgrounds and perspectives.
“Into the Wild (Future)” at Sagamore South Beach
Miami Beach’s historic art deco hotel will feature a series of interactive activations and events following the theme “Into the Wild (Future). Throughout Miami Art Week, the hotel will display museum-quality exhibits and immersive audiovisual experiences from Nov. 30 through Dec. 4.
Villa Azur Miami Beach
The Miami Beach hotspot showcases the work of Toronto-based artists Diogo Snow Neves and Max Jamali. Starting his career as a graffiti street artist, Sao Paulo-born Diogo Snow uses various materials such as spray paints, acrylics, diamond dust and more for his multi-disciplinary art. Known for using luxury materials, mixed-media artist Max Jamali’s work will also be displayed throughout the festive weekend.
Arlo Wynwood
Arlo Wynwood is partnering with physical and digital artist Brook Einbender to host “The Unknown Zone.” The captivating and immersive art experience will feature installations bridging the two art worlds together through mixed reality and cutting-edge technology.
Dreamcloud at Cosentino Miami City Center
Celebrating the intersectionality of art and design, Cosentino is collaborating with interior designer Nina Magon and Studio M for the immersive art installation “Dreamcloud.” Open to the public on Dec. 2 in conjunction with Miami Art Week 2022, “Dreamcloud” immerses guests in reflective surfaces guided by LED-illuminated cords and iridescent glass globes hung overhead.
