Prada:

The pleasures of summer are alive and well at the Prada Outdoor Coast pop-up, a retail installation that celebrates carefree days at the beach. Prada’s take on the hot season comes with all the necessary sartorial accouterments (and then some). For women, that means mini poplin garments with bayadère stripes, crocheted tunics, shirts with contrasting double prints and chiffon dresses with sequins that recall the iridescence of water. For men, the wardrobe is equally apropos: Bermuda shorts in bright block colors, bowling shirts with trademark prints, black-and-white sweatshirts with a three-dimensional Prada logo and perforated nappa leather bomber jackets for when the sun goes down. Woven straw bags, wooden jewelry with silver charms, cushions, surfboards, rackets and frisbees with Miuccia’s seal of approval round out the offerings. Experiential touches including an in-store DJ, a frozen lemonade cart and a Polaroid activation (for the must-have Instagram moment) make a certain point rather clear: This is not just another day at the beach. Burberry:

Site of the ancient Olympic games, the city of Olympia in Greece is a place of mythic beauty and ancient traditions, and, as such, the inspiration behind Burberry’s popular Olympia bag. This summer, the English label is saluting its star accessory with the World of Olympia pop-up, an immersive space that celebrates the item’s aesthetic, craftsmanship and ingenuity. Visitors will encounter architectural touches such as sweeping curves lined with statues of gods, goddesses and other mythological creatures. As for the goods on display? An assortment of classic Olympia bags, in a variety of styles and colors, as well as a new capsule collection marked by sand, topaz, marigold yellow and marsh green shades as well as gold-plated or leather straps, and an edition number engraved on the inside. An interactive animated reality component that brings the famed Elpis statue to life completes the experience. Through summer, 112 NE 39th St., Miami, 305.423.0078, us.burberry.com
