SHOP Riding into back-to-school season, discover State of Kid—the Miami mommy scene destination. Serving parents with three different locations—Miami Design District, Miami Beach and South Miami—State of Kid brings ease and seamless enjoyment to parents and children alike. Founded in 2019 by Alana Oxfeld and Cheryl Gonzalez, the two mom-trepreneurs wanted to combine everything the modern mother would need for her child and herself. This upscale children’s boutique offers parents the opportunity to shop for the most sought-after international brands while kiddos enjoy an array of classes ranging from preschool prep to music and cooking classes or STEM adventures. Expecting parents can even partake in preparation classes. “Since opening our doors less than three years ago, we’ve seen a dramatic increase in the number of young families searching for enrichment in a modern, convenient and safe space,” says Gonzalez. “We are thrilled to continue our expansion and provide another location where parents and children can interact and learn.” Built to make parenting easy, this all-in-one retail and educational experience provides families the flexibility to attend drop-in classes instead of committing to six months per activity. PAIR Longtime friends with a rich history in the wine and spirits industry, Matthieu Yamoum and Philippe Vasilescu are harmonizing their passions and curating premium wine and spirit collections that will revolutionize the Miami wine community. “I envision this store as a new hub in Miami for wine lovers of any age and background. We will offer products for all budgets and taste profiles to fulfill all our clients’ needs,” says Yamoum. “The little touch of luxury hospitality is the link missing in the retail experience to make it a memorable one.” Yamoum, the former wine director at New York City’s Baccarat Hotel, and Vasilescu, former brand ambassador for Louis XIII Cognac de Rémy Martin, launch Maison MURA—a sophisticated venue opening in downtown Miami this fall offering effortless decadence while serving as a retail space, lounge area and private tasting room that houses the world’s top wines and spirits. Maison, which translates to “home,” will offer just that for everyone from wine amateurs to experienced collectors and a membership called Le Club that can only be secured through Yamoum and Vasilescu.333 SE Third Ave., Miami, maisonmura.wine
