The Event
Any occasion at The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort is never short on glamour—whether it’s a full-blown opening bash or a simple cocktail party. The hotel’s recent Midnight Supper, in partnership with Graff Diamonds, hit all those marks yet again. The reason? A revival of a St. Regis tradition started by Caroline Astor, the brand’s founding patroness, at which she would invite elite members of Manhattan society for a decadent dinner at her family home.
The Crowd
Starwood Hotels executives Anthony Ingham and Suzanne Cohen, and The St. Regis Director of Sales & Marketing Angelica Lenox hosted a select group that included Bal Harbour Director of Tourism Carolyn Travis, designer Raphael Mendonça and former model and Brazilian socialite Suzana Gullo, among others.
The Highlights
Held in the Astor Ballroom of The St. Regis, the evening began with Champagne and karat talk as models dressed in Oscar de la Renta walked around the room showcasing a variety of diamond baubles from Graff’s latest collections. Dinner didn’t disappoint, thanks to a three-course meal by Executive Chef Tom Parlo that included everything from a golden egg with caviar to wagyu sirloin and short rib, and sweet endings by the resort’s pastry
master, Antonio Bachour. We think the late Mrs. Astor would have certainly approved. -Photography by World Red Eye
