Critically and internationally renowned impressionist painter Mindy Linkous will be hosting her distinguished collection at The Workshop collective space during this month’s Wynwood art walk. Linkous will showcase her distinct style with her internationally acclaimed Sessions series, featuring monumental portraits of cultural icons and her interpretations of current moments, using her trademark bold stroke of black, white and gray with a shock of color.
The Sessions series has proven to be one of her most popular works to date, capturing the attention of thousands of fans and collectors around the globe. Guests will enjoy Linkous’ vintage-inspired visual interpretations of Karl Lagerfeld, Raquel Welch, Twiggy, Blondie and The Beatles, among others, along with cocktails courtesy of Mandarine Napoléon. The opening party is on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 9 PM. The exhibition will run through Friday, November 11.
