Dinner parties are having a moment. Or, more accurately, they’ve been having a moment, and it’s not likely to pass anytime soon. With that in mind, we’re always looking for ways to improve our tablescape skills, especially via new product sources. Enter Mirth (mirthcaftans.com), the Houston-based womenswear label helmed by stylish sisters Erin Breen and Katie McClure. The sustainable brand, known for its ethically made carefree caftans, recently launched its first home collection—a line of 100% cotton tabletop textiles, block-printed and handstitched by artisans in India. Comprising place mats, dinner napkins and cocktail napkins, the collection is available in multiple vibrant colorways. “Since we already design our own prints and fabrics, expanding into tabletop textiles was a natural progression for us—one that we’d been thinking about for some time,” explains Breen. “It seemed fitting to introduce our first collection during this time, as we’re settling into our homes now more than ever. Similar to our clothing pieces, we hope our tabletop textiles will bring a sense of global exploration to daily routines, especially while travel plans are on hold.” Whatever the occasion, we have a feeling Mirth’s new collection will up our dinner party game—and satisfy our wanderlust.
