At the new DashBar salon in Brickell, time is on your side.
DashBar’s PollyDash chairs allow clients to have three treatments done at once and treatment spaces in the salon are socially distanced for safety.
In our current put-on-the-mask, take-off-the-mask, get-things-done-safely kind of world, a day of beauty doesn’t have the sweet ring it used to. Carla Oliva understands this all too well. At her new 2,700-square-foot DashBar salon in Brickell, the unofficial mantra is: Come in, get glam, get out. Not in a rushed kind of way, but rather a time-efficient manner. After a year researching the beauty industry, Oliva developed the patent-pending PollyDash chair, a comfortable apparatus that allows clients to have three treatments done at once. And what treatments they are. In addition to traditional services and regular and gel manicures, DashBar offers blow-drys such as the Beach Babe (think day at the beach without the frizz), as well as a variety of original facials. Among these is the Cryoskin, which uses cool temperatures to increase blood flow and boost collagen production, and the South Beach, developed to reduce fine lines, improve skin texture and plump the skin. “As a mother, wife and businesswoman juggling it all, I realize how valuable time is,” says Oliva. “My goal with DashBar was to create a one-stop shop for women to get all their beauty needs under one roof at the same time in a feel-good atmosphere.” Dedicated to sustainability, the salon also offers brands that are ethically made, natural, vegan and cruelty-free such as Pai, Patchology and Maria Nila. Creed’s limited-edition Aventus bottle
With its heady top notes of bergamot, apple, black currant, pineapple, birch, patchouli and jasmine, it’s no wonder Aventus has become Creed’s most successful fragrance in the history of the brand. To celebrate the eau’s 10th anniversary, the house is releasing a limited-edition anniversary bottle in black with silver accents. The perfume will be made available to Creed’s four boutiques first (one of which just happens to be in Miami) and then rolled out to retailer partners in time for holiday shopping. 151 NE 41st St., Miami, 305.573.9495 –LRR
