What message do you hope to establish in the fashion scene in Miami?
Be fearless in your approach to everything. Think outside the box when you're getting dressed. Stay open-minded to new things and embrace change with arms wide open.
What concepts go through your head when designing or crafting for OFY?
The natural world is the only inspiration I'll ever need.
What are some exciting details about the upcoming IGGY drop?
There's a lot of newness! We've introduced a new style with every new Iggy release. The first included the short sleeve button-down and matching shorts. The second introduced the long sleeve shirt. The upcoming third release will have four styles as we finally welcome the Iggy pants! We will also be introducing a completely new dye concept. New solid colors will also be available, which feature our novelty peach-skin-sueded-finish, unique to the Iggy collection.
What inspired you to create a sustainable luxury line?
The Iggy collection features a 100% recycled cotton called Cupro. This quality is cruelty-free and is, therefore, our replacement for silk. Being able to stand by our products, knowing that by creating them, we leave the earth and her ecosystem as unscathed as possible, is increasingly a concern and a priority.
Can you expand on the new marble garments?
With every new collection comes a new playing field. My imagination draws inspiration entirely from nature. I think marble stones are one of the fascinating materials on this earth, and recreating the aesthetic was a goal. Working closely with my dye house, we invented a hand-dyed process that mimics the marble aesthetic. The color combinations are my key ingredients, our magic sauce.
Where do you see OFY taking off in the next five years?
We are continuing to build our community. We're still a very new brand, but our connections through our collections have surpassed my wildest dreams. It's incredible watching it happen. Our clients are very product-loyal. They know what to expect, and they're coming back for more. Continuing to grow a product-loyal range of goods like our most coveted, the Iggy, is a goal.
